OPENING TIMES
Our office is currently manned on a volunteer basis and is open on Tuesday and Friday from 9.30 – 12.00noon. We are hoping to acquire new funding to employ a worker again and move to new premises.
We have come to the end of a Home Security Project, which provided security appliances including Careline Services to elderly and vulnerable people. We have helped 40 people in their homes and have still enough funding to provide 16 more Careline packages. If you know of anyone in the Causeway Trust area who could benefit from this please get in touch.
CURRENT PROJECTS
· We have £200,000 from IFI and DSD for an Environmental Improvement Scheme for the village street. This will be used to put NIE and BT cables underground, reinstate the pavements to a unified finish and increase street lighting. We are also planning to increase the number of flower beds and hanging baskets and street furniture.
· We have £2598 from Awards for All to make Welcome Packs for new home owners in the area and restart a monthly Newsletter.
We need more volunteers, especially during the summer months to help maintain our flowerbeds and grass areas. The views and opinions of our community are very important to us as they form the basis of our actions for the coming year.
